Praveen Netaru murder case: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday conducted searches at at least 33 places in Karnataka. The searches were conducted in connection with the murder of BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru, who was hacked to death in front of his shop by three bike-borne assailants in Bellary on July 26. During searches at the premises of the accused and suspects, digital equipment, used ammunition, improvised weapons, cash, incriminating documents, pamphlets and literature were seized.
“The investigation revealed that the accused persons, who are active members of the Popular Front of India (PFI), planned the murder of Netaru as part of a larger conspiracy to strike terror among the members of a section of the society. carry through.” said the investigating agency.
The NIA conducted searches at 33 places in Mysore, Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka in connection with Nettaru’s murder, the official said. The murder case was initially registered on July 27 at the Bellare police station in Dakshina Kannada and was re-registered by the NIA on August 4.

On July 26, three men came in a vehicle and killed him outside Nettaru’s chicken shop on Puttur-Suliya road in Mangaluru’s Bellare. On July 28, the police arrested 29-year-old Zakir of Savanur and Shafiq, 27, of Bellare. On August 2, police arrested 32-year-old Saddam and 42-year-old Haris, both residents of Pallimajalu in Bellary.
It is being told that these four were in contact with the attackers. On 7 August, police arrested 22-year-old Abid from Sulia and Naufal, 28, from Bellare, who were said to be part of the planning and Reiki team.
