Waterloo Regional Police are trying to identify a man linked to a stabbing in Uptown on Friday morning.

Police say officers were called to the intersection of King Street North and Princes Street East after 2 a.m. after receiving information about the disturbance.

When officers arrived, police say they found a man with stab wounds.

Paramedics took the man to a hospital outside the area for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say that the officer’s investigation revealed that there was a fight between two men, in which one was stabbed and the other was taken away on foot.
