Police have identified two people killed in the shootout Oshawa last weekend.

In a previous press release, Durham Regional Police said the incident occurred at around 12:45 pm on Saturday at BLVD, a restaurant and bar located on Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.

Police said there were reports of gunfire and officers arrived to find a total of five people with gunshot wounds.

One person was declared brought dead at the hospital, while the other later died due to injuries. Police said the remaining three people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and were later released.

Police have now identified the deceased as 21-year-old Jaihim Spence of Toronto and Joshua Connell-Wong of Oshawa.

According to the police, the investigation is on.
