The shooting took place around 7.30 pm on Sunday.
Police said a man was driving south on I-45 and passing 610 when he had an argument with another driver. Meanwhile, the second driver started firing at the youth’s vehicle. In the shooting, the man was shot multiple times and the 1-year-old was charred.
Officials said other children were in the car but were not injured. The man and a 1-year-old child were taken to hospital and are expected to survive.
As police continue to search for more clues, they said the shooter was driving a black, old model Nissan Rogue, which was seen driving east toward Main Street on Pecor Street.
Central units were sent to a shootout in the 500 block of Pecor St. Officers found one victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the district hospital for treatment. It is still an active scene.#hounnews
