Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting on Friday amid the Russo-Ukraine war. In this meeting held in Delhi, he reviewed the progress of Operation Ganga. Along with this, the evacuation of Indians from Ukraine and the situation there was also discussed. In the meeting, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Union Minister Piyush Goyal and NSA Ajit Doval were present.

More than 9,000 citizens have been brought back to India from Ukraine so far

Three more C-17 aircraft of the Indian Air Force carrying 630 Indian nationals from Romania and Hungary returned to Hindon airbase late last night as part of Operation Ganga. Union Minister General VK Singh said on Friday that he has received reports that a student, who was injured in a bullet injury, has been admitted to the hospital. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, more than 9,000 citizens have been brought back to India from Ukraine so far.

India’s stand cautious
India maintains a cautious stance on the global stage, avoiding UN General Assembly resolutions against Russia, although India has urged both countries to stop the war immediately. On the other hand, there was a virtual meeting of the Quad leaders on Thursday. Joining this, PM Modi agreed with the leadership of the US, Australia and Japan that a new humanitarian aid and disaster relief mechanism should be established.
