opinion | Trashing Clarence Thomas

The House January 6 committee may summon Ginny Thomas, but don’t think it’s about the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas. This is an attempt to harm justice, and it will not help the purpose of the committee.

Vice Chairman Liz Cheney says the committee expects Mrs Thomas to appear voluntarily, but will consider a subpoena if she declines. It is believed to be related to Mrs Thomas’ communications with former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, among others, urging her to recover from what she claimed was a stealing election. Her claims were as baseless as those of Donald Trump.
