A spokeswoman for Belgium’s federal police said one person was injured in an “incident” at Brussels’s Schumann metro station on Monday evening.
A police spokesman said that one person has been arrested.
According to reports from reporters and witnesses social mediaThe arrested person had tried to attack people with a knife in the metro station. The spokesman said police were unable to confirm at this stage whether a knife attack had occurred.
Schumann metro station is located in the heart of the European Union Quarter of Brussels, just below the headquarters of the European Commission.
