Noida: Officials to review development of Jewar airport in key meeting

Development Projects Review Meeting Noida International Airport (Jewar airport) The site will be on Monday. The board meeting, likely to be the last in the current Uttar Pradesh assembly session, will take important decisions on the status of several ongoing projects. The authorities are likely to give clearance for more construction in the area, including roads. The work of cleaning and maintaining the area started last year as the land was handed over to the concessionaire on lease. Several proposals submitted by the Authority in respect of development projects will be examined.

The organization will also consider bidding documents for the proposed toy park, film city and other projects.

Officials said the airport would be developed in four phases over the next 30 years. As per preliminary calculations, Phase-I will have a traffic of about 12 million passengers per year, which is expected to increase to 70 million passengers per year by the end of Phase-IV. The cost of the airport has increased to Rs 29,560 crore from Rs 4,588 crore in the first phase.
