Noida district administration sealed the offices of two builders

The Gautam Budh Nagar administration on Friday sealed the offices of two builders for non-receipt of recovery letters issued by the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA).

The doors of the offices of Supertech in Sector 96 and GSS Buildcon Pvt Ltd in Sector 1, Greater Noida West were locked with government seals to prevent employees from entering.

A total of 285 letters of recovery of Rs 123 crore were issued against Supertech and action was taken under the Revenue Code, 2006, following which 69 villas worth Rs 71 crore were confiscated.

Officials said that an auction was also held, but it did not take place as no one participated. The administration claimed that other immovable properties have also come under the scanner.

Nine recovery letters worth Rs 6.5 crore were issued against GSS Buildcon. The administration attached 12 properties of the builder worth Rs 5 crore. Supertech is currently finalizing a massive demolition plan for its twin towers at the Emerald Court in Noida. Earlier, the Supreme Court had ordered the demolition of the towers, citing violation of building rules.
