NIA to probe chemist’s murder in Maharashtra’s Amravati: Home Ministry spokesperson

The Union Home Ministry on Saturday handed over the probe into the murder of a chemist in Maharashtra’s Amravati to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A spokesperson gave this information.

The spokesperson tweeted that the NIA will investigate the conspiracy behind the murder of chemist Umesh Kolhe, who was assassinated on June 21.

The spokesperson said that the NIA will also thoroughly investigate any involvement of the organizations and international relations.

So far five people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 54-year-old chemist.
