NFL Week 7 Predictions: Our Picks Against the Spread

Tennessee Titans in Kansas City, 1 p.m., CBS

Line: Kansas City -4.5 | Total: 56.5

Kansas City safety Tyron Matthews has seen a lot.

In the confusion on the field after a poor defensive performance and breakdown, television cameras captured his emotional dialogue with his teammates on the bench and their hands above their heads.

The team is ranked 28th in the rushing defense, a nightmare for Kansas City (3–3) as it faces the Titans (4–2) and Derrick Henry, the NFL’s leading rusher. The offense isn’t helping the defending AFC champions either. Kansas City leads the NFL in turnover (14), and Patrick Mahomes’ eight interceptions are second with Jaguars rookie Trevor Lawrence. After seeing the Bills, the Chargers and Ravens include Kansas City, the Titans’ defense could do the same, or at least keep the game competitive enough to allow Henry and the offense to cover the spread. to select: Titans +4.5

Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens, 1 p.m., CBS

Line: Ravens-6 | Total: 47

The Ravens (5-1) have shown they can win in a number of ways. Lamar Jackson can throw over 400 yards or the team can throw for 200 rushing yards. Four of the team’s six games are decided by a single score, and the matchup with the Bengals (4-2) could be as close.

Cincinnati’s defense allowed (543) to finish ninth in rushing yards, meaning Baltimore may have to rely more on Jackson’s arm. Joe Burrow and rookie Jammer Chase, who is fourth in the league in receiving yards (553), are able to make it a shootout. Expect the Bengals to keep the game close. to select: Bengal +6

Indianapolis Colts 49ers in San Francisco, 8:20 PM, NBC

Line: 49ers -3.5 | Total: 44

San Francisco (2-3) could join Seattle on the brink of irrelevance with another loss at the NFC West, while the Rams and Cardinals have winless games.

Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) is likely to start as rookie Trey Lance recovers from a knee injury. But that without a tight end would be George Kittel (calf), who was placed on injured reserve before last week’s bye.
