Environmental law group EcoJustice filed an application in federal court on May 6 seeking judicial review of Ottawa’s approval of the environmental assessment of Bay du Nord.

The group says Environment Minister Steven Guillebault did not consider greenhouse gas emissions that would be released when the development’s estimated 500 million barrels of oil are burned as fuel.
