The body of Squadron Leader Kuldeep Singh reached his home.

The body of Squadron Leader Kuldeep Singh, who lost his life in a helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, was brought to his ancestral residence in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan on Saturday. MP Narendra Kumar, MLA Rita Chaudhary, District Collector UD Khan, SP Pradeep Mohan Sharma and others paid floral tributes at the airstrip. His wife and other family members were also present. Earlier in the day, Indian Air Force (IAF) officials paid their last respects to Lance Naik at Yelahanka Air Force Base in Bengaluru.

A truck decorated with flowers of the Indian Air Force reached his village Ghardana Khurd with the dead body. Collector UD Khan said, “Proper arrangements have been made for the last rites in the village.” A large number of people were present on the way from his village and the airstrip to pay tribute to the Squadron Leader.

13 people lost their lives in the accident

Of the 14 people on board the Mi-17 V5 helicopter, including India’s first Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), his wife Madhulika Rawat, 13 were killed in the crash on December 8.

Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, his defense advisor Brigadier Lakhbinder Singh Lidder, Staff Officer Lt Col Harjinder Singh and nine other Armed Forces personnel including Air Force helicopter crew were among those who lost their lives in the accident. ,

Group Captain’s ongoing treatment

Group Captain Varun Singh is a survivor of the accident and is presently admitted to the Air Force Command Hospital in Bengaluru for treatment. Earlier, the bodies of General Rawat, his wife and their defense assistant Brigadier LS Lidar were cremated with full military honors at the Berar Square crematorium in the national capital on Friday.

Bipin Rawat dies, loss to the country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said, “The passing away of India’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat is a great loss for every patriot.” The Prime Minister was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Saryu Nahar National Project in Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi said that General Rawat was brave and he worked hard to make the country’s armed forces self-reliant and the country is witness to this. The PM said, ‘Wherever General Bipin Rawat is, in the coming days, he will see India moving forward with new resolutions’.
