Man falls from second floor railing, gets fatal brain injury

Omaha Police said a man went on top of a balcony and fell from the second floor with a brain injury. Authorities confirmed that 21-year-old Walter Bowens had fallen from a handrail on the exterior stairs near 1080 Capitol Avenue. According to eyewitnesses, Bowens was attempting to fall down. The railing when he lost his balance and fell by hitting his head on the concrete. Bowens was taken to Nebraska Medicine with life-threatening brain injuries.

According to eyewitnesses, Bowens was trying to slide down the railing when he lost his balance and fell on the concrete with his head.

Bowens was taken to Nebraska Medicine with life-threatening brain injuries.
