Maharashtra political crisis: Amidst CM Uddhav’s emotional call to rebels, Shiv Sena hits out at Shinde camp

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray made an emotional appeal to the rebel MLAs here on Tuesday. Shiv Sena, who is camping in Guwahati, to return to the party and hold talks with them to resolve the issues. He also said that he was “worried” about them. This came on a day when Shiv Sena leaders Eknath Shinde Said that the rebel MLAs would soon return to Mumbai and BJP Leader Devendra Fadnavis reached Delhi to meet party president JP Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah.

In his appeal to the rebels, Thackeray said, “You are stuck in Guwahati for the last few days. Every day new information is coming out about you and many of you are in touch with us. You are still in Shiv Sena in your heart. Some of you family members have also contacted me and conveyed their feelings to me. I respect your sentiments as the head of the Shiv Sena family. As the head of the family, I tell you from the bottom of my heart, there is still time. ,

The appeal comes a day after the Supreme Court issued an interim order granting relief to the rebel camp after 16 of its MLAs were served disqualification notices by the deputy speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly.

Addressing the rebels, Thackeray asked them to come and sit in front of him. “…don’t fall for anyone’s wrong footsteps and false assurances.”

After Thackeray’s appeal, Shinde said on Twitter, “On one hand your son and spokesperson are calling Balasaheb’s Shiv Sainiks pig, dirt, buffalo, dog, illiterate and corpse, abusing our father and on the other hand you are calling are. The same MLA to save the anti-Hindu MVA government. what does this mean?”

Thackeray’s appeal did not seem to have any effect on the rebel MLAs. Rebel MLA Deepak Kesarkar told Indian Express That appeal no longer has any meaning. “We have already put our stand before the CM and even today, we stand by our demand that first he should come out of MVA… after that we will come for discussion. We respect him (Thackeray) but first he should come out of MVA, then call us for discussion and we will come.

Bharat Gogawale, another MLA and chief whip appointed by the Shinde camp, said, “It is too late now… nothing can happen.” He further said that the statements of Shiv Sena MP and party spokesperson Sanjay Raut have ruined everything. “He should know what to say in such a situation,” Gogavale said.

The rebel MLAs also said that the Thackeray camp is not standing by its stand and stand towards them.
Indeed, a contradiction can be seen in the statements issued by various Shiv Sena leaders in Mumbai last week. On 24 June, Thackeray, while addressing party workers, said that “those who left were never theirs and they had betrayed them”.

Last week, Aditya and Raut made several objectionable statements against the rebel MLAs. While Aditya had called Yuva Sena workers “dirt” and “traitors” on June 25, while addressing a rally on Sunday, Raut called the rebels “dogs”, “buffaloes”, “thieves” and “thieves”. “Living Corpse”.

Also on June 26, Aditya had said that the doors of the party are closed for the rebel MLAs. Had indicated a day earlier that the MLAs would have to face Mumbaikars and Shiv Sainiks upon their arrival.

Meanwhile, MLAs in Guwahati said the leadership in Mumbai is not clear on what it wants and should take a clear stand. “You can’t have it either way,” said a senior rebel MLA.
