Maha: Black deer skin found from doctor’s house for illegal abortion

Police have recovered blackbuck skin from the house of a doctor arrested in an illegal abortion case in Wardha district of Maharashtra. An official gave this information on Saturday.

Earlier this week, police had found 11 skulls and 54 fetal bones in the premises of a private hospital where the accused doctor worked in Arvi taluka of the district.

Police have arrested five people, including Dr Rekha Kadam and two nurses, for aborting a 13-year-old girl.

During the search, the police recovered the skin of a black deer from the house of Dr Kadam, which has been handed over to the forest department, the official said.

Earlier on Wednesday, 11 skulls and 54 fetal bones were found from a biogas plant located on the Kadam Hospital premises.

The police had arrested two hospital nurses, Dr Kadam, for allegedly performing an illegal abortion of a minor girl and also arrested the parents of a minor boy, who had allegedly impregnated the girl whose child was pregnant. He was in a relationship with.

According to the police, the doctors failed to inform the authorities about the abortion of a girl below 18 years of age.

Investigations are underway to find out whether the bones and skulls recovered from the biogas plant were disposed of legally or illegally.
