Xu ‘Kelly’ Zhang’s boyfriend, found dead in a Melbourne Landfill, after pleading not guilty to his murder, will stand trial.

Jun Seong Tan, 35, has been charged with murdering Ms Zhang, 33, on February 1, when the mother of an eight-year-old boy was last seen at her Epping home.

Police confirmed that Ms. Zhang’s remains were found on June 23 at the Wollert landfill.

Tan appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to murder.

She was initially taken into custody six days after Ms Zhang went missing, but was released without charge until further police questioning.

The accused killer was arrested for the second time on 10 February from Melbourne Airport.

Prosecutors had earlier said that over 3000 hours of CCTV needed to be analyzed as part of the investigation.

Tan is in custody and will face the Victorian Supreme Court for a hearing of the directive on 16 December.
