Hideki Matsuyama: The 2021 Masters champion’s ball lands in the spectators’ shirt

“It went between my legs, hit my knee, and somehow rolled into my shirt,” explained the spectator over a microphone captured by the PGA Tour at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, New Jersey.

World No. 1 Jon Rahm, the reigning US Open champion, topped the leaderboard with a one-stroke lead after firing a four-under par 67 in Friday’s second round.

“Believe it or not, hit my fair share of bad shots today,” told 26-year-old Rahm PGA Tour website. “Like yesterday [Thursday]”I was able to save some good ones… Over the weekend, I’ll definitely have to clean up some of those mistakes.”

Hurricane Henry

Northern Trust is the first of the PGA Tour fedex cup playoff event.

The FedEx Cup sees players accruing ranking points throughout the season, with the top 125 qualifying for the first playoffs.

The field has been paved with the final 70 players competing in the Tour Championship in Atlanta in September, where the FedExCup champion wins $15 million.

The final round of the Northern Trust tournament on Sunday could be rescheduled to Monday due to Hurricane Henry.

Spieth scored a nine-under 62.

“We are closely monitoring Tropical Storm Henry and its potential impacts on the Northern Trust,” the PGA Tour said in a statement on its website on Friday.

“We’ll be evaluating Henry’s track for the day tomorrow [Saturday] And the plan and schedule for the final round is expected to be released by late Saturday afternoon.

“Henry is currently not expected to have any impact on Monday’s forecast. Based on the forecast track of the storm, it is possible that the final round may be rescheduled for Monday,” the statement said.
