Gujarat’s Minister of Law and Justice and Revenue Department Rajendra Trivedi recently made a remark about the health of 76-year-old Yogesh Patel, BJP MLA from Vadodara, who is the oldest in the assembly. “In the Niramay Gujarat scheme, we first checked our blood pressure and then the district collector and municipal commissioner Shaliniben… We also checked Yogeshbhai’s blood pressure. All were normal. I thought (to myself), if Yogeshbhai’s blood pressure is normal, then the whole government’s blood pressure will be normal…,” he said while laughing at the leaders on the stage, including Yogesh Patel, a six-time MLA from Manjalpur, who expressed his displeasure.
