According to Stedman, owner and chef at Lavern’s Eatery, bikers frequent several restaurants during their visits to the city, though his establishment hasn’t had the opportunity to host them yet.

“We’re not open for dinner and that’s when they’re back in town.”

For the city itself, Mayor John Beddoes said everyone is welcome to exercise their right to travel freely throughout the province

“Provided, individuals or groups of people respect the rules, regulations, laws,” he says.

While the event can sometimes be attended by thousands of bikers, due to the icy weather conditions Detective Wade says they are expecting a much smaller event this Friday.

“Perhaps our numbers are going to be low because this is not a day for motorcycling.”

Global News reached out to Outlaw for an interview but never heard back.
