Florida Panthers An investigation has been launched following an altercation between the team’s mascot and a Tampa Bay Lightning fan.
Electric fan and mascot tangled during Florida’s 7-1 win Tampa Bay on Monday.

The fan pulled the mascot’s shirt over his head after the mascot threw a Lightning jersey into the crowd.
After the mascot was hanging onto the rail, fans placed the defenseless mascot in a headlock and shouted “Go Bolts” at the jeering crowd, despite being down six goals.

Security and the mascot’s handlers do not intervene, leading many to believe that it was staged. However, that is apparently not the case, and the Panthers confirmed to Fox News Digital that an investigation is underway.
The Lightning fan took the jersey back after the two parted ways. It is not known what transpired between the two.
