The FIR was lodged at the suburban Khar police station a day after the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) filed a complaint against the actor.

According to the official, the complainant in the case is a Mumbai-based businessman Amarjit Singh Sandhu, who was part of the DSGMC delegation, which filed the complaint on Monday.

Sandhu, in a statement, accused the actor of making derogatory remarks against his community in a post on Instagram.

After registering the complaint, the DSGMC delegation led by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who is also the organization’s president, met Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil and top officials of Mumbai Police and took action. demanded. against ranaut

In the complaint, the DSGMC noted that Ranaut deliberately and deliberately portrayed the farmers’ protest (Kisan Morcha) as a “Khalistani” movement and also termed the Sikh community as “Khalistani terrorists”.

He also referred to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

According to the complaint, in the post the actor has used highly derogatory and derogatory language against the Sikh community.
