Shares of Exxon Mobil Corp. have soared to their first record close since 2014, marking another milestone in a blockbuster year for energy stocks.
The oil giant’s stock, which was up 1.7% at $105.16 in afternoon trading, would need to close above $104.38, its previous closing high since June 23, 2014. Shares have gained 72% this year and 9.5% in June alone.
