Ex-Patriots quarterback calls team ‘one of the dumbest’ he’s ever seen after disastrous loss to Raiders

new England Patriots Radio announcers were in disbelief at what happened in the final seconds of the team’s last-second loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night.

Bob Soski was doing play-by-play and former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak was doing commentary for 98.5 The Sports Hub based in Boston. Zolak may have provided the quote to speak for what all Patriots fans were thinking at the time. Chandler Jones Made a game-winner.

Zolak said, “This is probably one of the dumbest teams I’ve ever seen.”

The drama went down like this.

With the game tied at 24 points, Patriots running back Ramondre Stevenson found a hole in the Raiders’ secondary. But rather than let himself be dealt with in a slump or a tied game that might go into overtime, Stevenson decided he wanted to make a play out of nothing.

Stevenson later threw the ball to wide receiver Jacoby Meyers. The wide receiver took the ball and attempted to throw the ball backwards to Patriots quarterback Mack Jones. Instead, Raiders pass rusher Chandler Jones waited for the ball.

Chandler Jones ran in on Mack Jones and scored the game-winning touchdown as time expired.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick said after the game, “The collective made a lot of mistakes and left up some big plays that was obviously the difference in the game.”
