England white ball specialist Tom Curran out for four months due to injury – India Times English News

England bowler Tom Curran has suffered a stress fracture in his lower back and will be out for almost four months, missing the start of the T20I blast.

The Surrey bowler will not be fit before the start of the T20 Blast, which is expected to start in early summer, the BBC reported on Monday.

The 26-year-old had recently joined the Big Bash League in December, during which he suffered an injury. The scan confirmed the extent of the injury.

The BBC said in its report that Curran has already been dropped from the 16-man England squad for the T20 series against the West Indies starting later this month.

Tom, who has been a regular in England’s white-ball team in recent years, has played 28 One Day Internationals and 30 T20Is.

Tom’s brother Sam Curran was ruled out of the white-ball section of the T20 World Cup and Ashes due to a stress fracture in his back.
