Egypt, Polish presidents hold talks in Cairo

Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda discussed the Russia-Ukraine conflict and its international repercussions.

During a news conference with Duda in Cairo, al-Sisi said: “This crisis has cast a shadow on the global economy and threatens the food security of various countries of the world.”

Al-Sisi said that Egypt’s position is based on “addressing all means for peace and peaceful resolution of conflict and implementing all efforts to achieve it at the bilateral, regional or international level.”

He “emphasized the importance of finding alternatives and solutions to address the negative effects of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.”

Al-Sisi said that he and Duda have worked together to “promote citizenship rights and religious freedom, counter extremism … national efforts to maintain regional and international security and stability … and counter terrorism at the international level.” to support the efforts of

Al-Sisi said: “The talks also touched on a number of issues in the Middle East, the most prominent of which is the Palestinian issue, which is the main issue in the region, where the importance of a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent government was established on 4 June 1967.” The borders were emphasized by the state of Palestine, whose capital is East Jerusalem.”

He and Duda signed MoUs and agreements between their two countries.

Duda also held talks with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly, and attended a meeting of the Polish-Egyptian Economic Forum and the Polish Community in Cairo.
