Dyson Lightcycle Morph Floor Light Review: Spend Your Money on Luxe

Luxury does not come naturally to many of us Indians. Even if we do spend, many of us differ in terms of appearances or owning up to high expenses. But as we go up in our economic stature, there are more of us who do not mind spending on things that give us luxury as well as convenience. But lighting won’t be one of the things most of us consider spending some extra money on. If so, here’s a product you can take apart.

Dyson Lightcycle Morph Floor Light

The Dyson LightCycle, which we reviewed a few years ago, is almost the pinnacle of what you can do with a table lamp. Dyson is taking this legacy forward in its trademark style with the Lightcycle Morph, a floor light that takes the story of the earlier lamp.

The Lightcycle Morph is much easier to install than it was with the first version which had a complex set of parts that needed to be put in place. With the Lightcycle Morph, as soon as you install the base of the lamp, which comes in one piece, you’re done.

There are a few big differences when it comes to the Lightcycle Morph and the one that first caught my attention was the longer stem of the lamp with a perforated metal grille finish, which has Dyson design imprints on it. (The Indian Express/Nandagopal Rajan)

There are a few big differences when it comes to the Lightcycle Morph and the one that first caught my attention was the longer stem of the lamp with a perforated metal grille finish, which has Dyson design imprints on it. When the top light is turned with the bulb facing down, this stem lights up something like a movie warning from the beginning but in a very stylish way. I could not stop looking at this beauty and clicking a picture of it in different angles and lighting conditions, which fueled my love for the pattern. I recommend that you leave it as a light in your room, and you will be attracted to this glowing street like a fly on fire.

He is not everything. The name Morph means what this light can do. The earlier version has limited maneuverability, with the top and bottom on its metal stem. With the Morph, the arm that holds the bulb can extend from the elbow where it can also move. This means that the bulb can rotate at exactly the angle you want. So it can focus on notepad when I’m writing new ideas and also come across my face when I’m recording videos. All very convenient and practical. The arm folds back inward to create the light saber effect and snaps magnetically to the top of the stem.

Dyson, Dyson Lightcycle, Dyson Lightcycle Morph Review, The light comes with controls for you to change its intensity and heat. (Indian Express/ Nandagopal Rajan)

The light comes with controls for you to change its intensity and heat. There’s also a motion sensor that turns the lights on and off as you approach and move away. However, I didn’t find this feature to be as effective for a floor lamp as for a desk lamp. But then who wants to turn off the Lightcycle Morph.

Plus, the controls are much easier through the Dyson app. Plus, it helps you be precise with light intensity or heat. And the presets for reading and others are only through the app. I found the warm light to be the best which is great for reading and focusing on what you have.

Dyson Lightcycle Morph Floor Light: Should You Buy?

If you’re looking for something to brighten up your work area as you spend more time at home and really don’t mind spending it on, the Dyson Lightcycle Morph Floor Light is a good investment. It is a luxury item and there is no point talking about its price, but the convenience of a futuristic light that suits what you do will cost you Rs 58,900 at the moment. For those who can afford it, it will brighten up your life.
