The popular dine around festival is back Okanagan Where over 70 restaurants in BC’s interior offer great food at affordable prices.
Over the next three weeks, Okanagan residents will have a special menu and a variety of restaurants to choose from.
“You can visit more than 70 of the BC Interior and enjoy a three-course menu for $25 to $65. We have every type of restaurant, every type of menu,” said Christina Ferreira, Dine Around Interior program manager. The food is there whether you want burgers or pizza or steak and lobster.
The festival not only celebrates food, but also encourages people to spend the night at local hotels or motels. Dine Around hopes to keep businesses busy during quieter times of year.
“Take people out because who wants to sit at home in a gloomy January, save some money because we all know we’re paying off our credit card debt by Christmas. But then again restaurants are usually slow at this time of year, Ferreira said.
The three-week event helps new businesses get exposure and a hotel manager in Kelowna said the festival goes a long way in improving his customer base.
“Our hotel opened during a pandemic. The restaurant opened at the same time, so it was a little difficult,” said Cedric Young, general manager of the Hyatt Place.
“It was a great way for us to get exposure in the community and we saw a lot of momentum last year. It really helped the restaurant find its footing,”

While the festival helps new businesses, it also promotes local ones.
“We have everything from chain restaurants and franchises to small owner-operators,” Ferreira said.
