Delhi: Man arrested for threatening Alka Lamba in video

Delhi Police has arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly making threatening and derogatory remarks against Congress leader Alka Lamba and Muslims on social media. The accused was out on bail three months back after being arrested by the Ghaziabad police in a similar case. In March, he made a similar speech in a viral video outside the Dasna Devi temple, police said.

“We have arrested Vikas Sehrawat alias Malik Sehrawat. On Monday, Lamba had filed a complaint against him over email. Lamba also tagged Delhi Police in a post on Twitter attaching the video, in which he can be heard giving hate speech,” said DCP (South District) Atul Kumar Thakur.


“Our team was successful in locating the accused in the area of ​​Thana Bindapur and he was taken into police custody from his house. He has been arrested and his interrogation is on.”

In his video, Sehrawat describes himself as a Hindu leader and a nationalist. He had earlier threatened to kill journalist Ravish Tiwari Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan
