Other side effects have come to the fore ufc president Dana White slapped his wife, Anne, as he ushered in the new year in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last weekend.
According to Front Office Sports, the TBS airing of White Heads’ Power Slap League will not go on as scheduled due to the backlash White is receiving. The first episode was expected to air after AEW on January 11 at 10 p.m. ET.
A TBS spokesperson told FOS that Power Slap has now been moved for its January 18 debut.

White issued an apology, saying that alcohol was involved, but that no excuses were being made.
He told TMZ Sports, “I’m really not making excuses for this. It’s never happened before. It’s the first time it’s happened, and people are going to say what they’re going to say.”

“It’s what people say, it’s deserved. I deserve it. It happened. I don’t know why it happened, and my wife and I have apologized to each other, we’ve apologized to our kids.” ” , and it’s one of those things that everybody’s going to support. I care less what people think about it. We’re more concerned about taking care of our kids and our families.”
Anne White also apologized for her role in the controversy.

“Dana and I have been married for almost 30 years,” she said. “To say it was out of character for them is an understatement – nothing like this has ever happened before. Unfortunately, we were both drinking too much on New Years Eve, and things got out of control on both sides . We talked it over as a family and apologized to each other. I hope people will respect our privacy for the sake of our children.”

White negotiates broadcast deal with TBS for Power Slap Outside UFC streaming and the broadcast deals that are with ESPN. White believes that slap fighting, along with his UFC brand, is the future of combat sports.
“The sport of slap fighting is about to go to a whole new level,” he said back in November.
