Covid cases rise in Vadodara; Admin said under control, be careful

The number of stable cases reported on Monday stood at 59, while two patients were on O2 support and one was on ventilation. A total of 2,574 samples were tested.

Officials said that when the pandemic is under control, people should take precautions.

Vadodara Medical Officer Health Dr Devesh Patel told Indian Express“The cases that have been reported are mostly of passengers and their contacts. We have also done some random tests and contact tracing. The symptoms are mild and the virus is under control but people should be careful… Unlike last year, when the pandemic surged after the festival, the pace at which cases are being reported this year is very slow… we have zero positives There were three days of cases in October and the daily cases have been in single digits, which was not the same at the same time last year… but one cannot predict how the virus will manifest. ”

Vadodara Rural has recorded the maximum number of 26,776 positive cases so far, followed by four areas under the VMC’s jurisdiction. The VMC has recorded a total of 72,187 cases and 623 audited COVID-19 deaths since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Apart from Vadodara, Junagadh is also witnessing a marginal increase in cases this month, reporting Covid-19 cases each day since November 1 and 28 cases in a span of a week. In October, 27 cases were reported in the district.
