Thanking the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) officials for this initiative, he said, “Today is the 71st birthday of the Prime Minister and we are planting 71000 trees.”

Patel said a total of 375 programs are being organized across the state on Friday targeting the “poor”. Patel said that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 programme, a total of three lakh gas connections would be given later while addressing the media persons. In the first phase of Ujjwala, 29 lakh families were given gas connections.

Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), the work of constructing toilets and ensuring cleanliness will be done at a cost of Rs 142 crore. Patel said that 8,000 children who have lost either their parents or both their fathers to Kovid will be given monthly assistance of Rs 2000 under Mukhyamantri Bal Sewa. This assistance will be given till the age of 18 years.

CM said that sarpanch of 7,100 villages who will complete 100 percent COVID-19 Vaccinations will be awarded with certificates on Friday.
