Heading into winter, the City of Barrie is reminding residents not to park on city streets overnight.
From December 1 through March 31, on-street parking is not permitted on city streets within the Downtown Business Improvement Area from 12:01 AM to 7 AM and from 3 AM to 6 AM.
The restriction is to ensure that the roads are completely cleared of snow and that emergency vehicles can ply on the road during the winter season.
New for winter 2022, overnight parking is also not permitted in any hybrid parking lot or waterfront parking lot and on-street from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. during those months
