In the latest edition of Let’s Get After It, on Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, Cuomo expressed his dismay with “people who wake up” by pointing to his love for the holiday and the historical context.

Cuomo began by saying that Thanksgiving is his “favourite holiday.”

He continued: ‘Actually, it’s really the only one I really like, I also like Easter religiously, like, that’s it for me. I love the message of rebirth and renewal. Boy, do we need that s***.’

He made a list of other holidays he didn’t like. ‘Christmas doesn’t do it for me. Halloween, candy, new year, disappointing,’ he claimed.

The radio host went back to his ‘favourite holiday’, thanks: ‘This is my jam and… this is my jam!’

But he complained that the national holiday was being ruined by canceling ‘Jag Lok’ and Sanskriti. ‘And now you’re waking up people who are trying to kill it for me,’ he said. ‘Listen, man, you know, don’t come to me with all this pilgrimage stuff.’

“I don’t give a damn about Pilgrims and Indigenous peoples, Native Americans, Indians, wherever, whatever, whatever the group wants to be called,” Cuomo said. ‘I do not care about this.’

He continued trying to reason: ‘I care about the franchise. I care about exploitation. But I don’t need that story for Thanksgiving. I don’t need it at all.’

His older brother, who defames former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, had shared a more uplifting thank you message, along with a family photo including his mother and three daughters.

Andrew, 63, resigned in August after investigators working for New York Attorney General Letitia James wrote a report that concluded he had sexually assaulted 11 women.

He tweeted on Thursday: ‘Today and every day, I am grateful to our girls Cara, Maria and Michaela and the rock of our family, my mom, Matilda Rafa Cuomo.’

Thursday’s Thanksgiving episode of Let’s Get After It advertises: ‘It’s hard to embrace the suck, especially at a time when the hits keep coming.’

Cuomo is enlisted to offer a ‘different perspective’: Take time to reflect and be grateful for all the things that shape you. Be grateful for failures as you learn from them, and appreciate that you can draw strength from what is not easy.’

According to data from Nielsen Media Research Ratings, her holiday tirade on radio shows comes as her daily primetime CNN program has hit an all-time low this month.

Cuomo’s daily 9 p.m. Cuomo Prime Time Show program last week drew an overall average audience of 156,000 in the advertiser-coveted age demographic 25 to 54.

This is a fraction of the total 1.137 million viewers and 377,000 demo viewers when the show debuted in June 2018.

Prime Time was the 25th-ranked cable news program in overall average viewership for the week.

By comparison, on Fox News, Cuomo’s rival Sean Hannity drew an average of 3.486 million viewers, 572,000 in the 25 to 54 demographic.

On MSNBC, Rachel Maddow drew 1.915 million viewers in the same time slot and 263,000 viewers in the demo.

Cuomo’s primetime program still manages to bring in more viewers than his old morning show program, New Day, which averages 324,000 viewers to watch.

Cuomo’s ratings began to decline after his brother was forced to resign as New York governor following allegations of sexual assault by multiple women.

In August, Cuomo prime time was still CNN’s highest-rated show, with an average of 964,000 viewers and 222,000 across demographics.
