Hargunjit Kaur, a 2013 batch IAS of Punjab cadre, on Wednesday joined the Chandigarh Administration as Special Finance Secretary.
Kaur was earlier holding the post of MD of Punjab State Cooperative Bank in Punjab Government and will hold additional charge of Secretary, Department of Industries, Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Director of Tourism and Special Secretary, House Allotment Committee.
The IAS officer has previously worked in Chandigarh Administration as Land Acquisition Officer and Assistant Estate Officer from 2007-2011. With Kaur joining the administration, some of the charges were reassigned.
Meanwhile, Rajiv Prasad, HCS also joined Chandigarh Administration on Wednesday and was posted as Director Industries, Joint Commissioner and Secretary, MC, Chandigarh.
Prasad’s last posting was as Joint Commissioner, Gurugram.
Prior to joining the State Civil Services, Prasad has been Assistant/Deputy Advocate General and Additional Advocate General in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
In addition, Jagjit Singh will be the Director of Higher Education, Chandigarh. He will replace Palika Arora, who will be relieved of the said charge.
