But a source close to Spears told CNN that the singer has no immediate plans to do an interview with Winfrey, despite recently saying on social media that she wants to.
“Britney hasn’t had an interview with Oprah and she’s not even in talks yet,” the source added. “Will that happen? Maybe, but not now.”
On whether the two might meet this year, the source said in an interview, “If it happens, it probably won’t happen until 2022.”
The Grammy winner posted on social media last week that she has more to say about her 13-year conservatism now that it’s over. She hinted at a possible interview with Winfrey.
“I can give a hint of my thoughts on chickpeas before I go and set things up on @Oprah!!!!! I mean who knows… I know how much to share this fact Embarrassing that I never did see the cash or wasn’t able to drive my car…. but honestly it still pops up in my mind every day about how my family and mentor were able to do what I did !!!!” spears wrote, “I’m used to keeping the peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut… but not this time… I haven’t forgotten.”
