Biden officially acknowledges that Build Back Better will miss the deadline, but says he is ‘determined’ to see the bill on the Senate floor ‘as soon as possible’.

“My team and I are in ongoing discussions with Senator Manchin, which will continue next week,” Biden said in the statement. “It takes time to complete all the parliamentary and procedural steps needed to finalize these agreements, prepare legislative changes, and enable a Senate vote.
