Bayer After a jury in Missouri rejected the claim that it causes cancer ahead of the Supreme Court’s eagerly anticipated announcement on a major case, the US marked its third consecutive victory over the Roundup weedkiller.
The Supreme Court is expected to announce next week whether it will hear Bayer’s bid to dismiss the Roundup case. Should the court take up the case and ultimately go in favor of the German agricultural and pharmaceutical giant, Bayer says it will eliminate thousands of claims since it took over the product’s original owner, Monsanto Co., in 2018.
