Apple rolls out security tool for iPhone users targeted by sophisticated spyware

Apple is building a facility to secure its products against some of the world’s most sophisticated spyware.

This tool named Lockdown Mode is meant for small number of users targeted by spyware backed by state sponsored hackers. When used, it will limit the capabilities of apps, websites, and features for security purposes. On an iPhone, for example, this will block most message attachments, as well as incoming FaceTime calls from people the user hasn’t previously called.
