According to the police, a first information report ,FIR) against unidentified persons at the Gaikwad Haveli police station in Ahmedabad on Wednesday morning after Kabaliwala filed a complaint that he received more than 20 death threats from a man between 9:50 pm and 12 pm on Tuesday night, Who identified himself as Imran. Kabaliwala called the helpline number 100 for police assistance at his Astodia residence in Ahmedabad late on Tuesday night.

“At around 9:50 on Tuesday night, I was sitting in the car near Rani Sipri Masjid in Estodiya when I received a call on my phone’s WhatsApp from an unknown number in which the caller identified himself as Imran and Claims that he has recently killed a Punjabi singer. Sidhu Musewala And claimed that a person named Satyug Maharaj had given the contract to kill me. He then disconnected the WhatsApp voice call and made a video call in which a bag full of Rs 2,000 notes was visible. Then the caller told me that he wants money from me, otherwise he will kill me. He further claimed that he knew I was sitting in his car and asked me to stay where his men were watching me nearby. Then he said that he is giving me an ultimatum of two hours to make the payment and will send the bank details soon,” Kabaliwala said in his police complaint.

“Then, at around 10:43 am, I received a WhatsApp message mentioning an SBI bank account in the name of one Minhaj Khatoon. The caller made 12 voice calls after 11:30 pm which I did not pick up. Then he sent me a 30-minute video of Moosewala’s murder. The caller was continuously calling me which I kept on rejecting. Then around 12 o’clock, he sent me an audio clip in which he said that he was giving me an ultimatum of three to four days, and if I call him back tomorrow morning everything will be fine (or) no, he advises me. May all my last wishes be fulfilled in these three-four days. Realizing the gravity of the situation, I called 100 for police help.
