Regina Police Service (RPS) has accused a man and a girl of stalking weapon crime Happened over the weekend in Regina.

“Police were able to obtain a partial description of the suspects and, a short time later, observed two individuals in the 1200 block of Athol Street who matched the description,” RPS said.

“Both men were taken into custody without incident. An improvised firearm, also known as a ‘slam-gun’, as well as a shotgun shell, were found in a backpack.

The man was found to be the subject of a warrant and the girl was charged with possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.

The girl cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police said both the accused were released on undertakings and the girl would make her first court appearance on these charges on December 9 at the youth court.

The man will appear in court in connection with his warrant in provincial court on January 9, 2023.
