1 killed in collision with Highway 6 north of Regina – Regina | Globalnews.ca

Police say a 34-year-old man died after a collision north of Regina on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 4:15 a.m., the Southee RCMP was notified of a vehicle collision on Highway 6, north of Regina.

According to the RCMP, thirteen kilometers north of the city, a southbound van and a northbound agricultural equipment collided.

Police say the 34-year-old driver of the van died on the spot. The 62-year-old driver of the Semi did not report any injuries to the police.

Highway 6 is open and the police are no longer on the spot.

The Southee RCMP continues the investigation with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructor. Police say White Butte and Lumsden RCMP detachments and the Ministry of Highways assisted at the scene by helping to redirect traffic around the collision area.
