WWE star AJ Styles blown away by praise from wrestling legend: ‘I’m just flattered’

aj styles Since emerging as a high-flying X-Division leader in TNA Wrestling, he has become one of the top stars in professional wrestling.

It’s been almost 22 years since his debut tna wrestlingAnd after more than two decades of climbing to the top, Styles’ superstardom reached new heights when he made his debut at the Royal Rumble in 2016.

Since then, Styles has been WWE Champion twice, United States Champion three times, and Intercontinental Champion once. He and Omos won what is now known as the World Tag Team Championship. With those accolades, Styles was the 15th Grand Slam champion.

He also took part in The Undertaker’s last match in WWE – a cinematic Boneyard match that took place on the first night of WrestleMania 36 amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Undertaker, whose real name is Mark Calaway, gave Styles some big praise “six feet Under” podcast. He compared him to the great Shawn Michaels due to his in-ring work ethic and ability to make anyone look good in the ring.

Styles responded to the compliment in an interview with Fox News Digital.

“It’s a big compliment coming from someone like him,” he said. “‘Taker is a legend, there’s no doubt about it, everyone in the business respects him. If you’ve ever met him, he’s a very personable guy. For him to say something like that is awesome.”

“I look at Shawn and I look at his matches and how incredible they were, and then especially the matches with Undertaker, they were so good. It’s awesome. I’m just happy that he would say something like that. “

Styles said that he doesn’t necessarily identify himself with the younger generation, because his mentality has been that everyone has to be unique in their own way.

“It’s hard. I never look at anyone like me, like, ‘They’re just like me.’ I don’t look at them that way, because I always thought we should be our own,” he said. “Every time I do something different, like my moves, I try to make sure they’re very unique. Be – they be my tricks so you don’t think about anyone else. When I make a move, you think of me.”

“I never look at it that way. I can tell when something is bothering them, and I can probably give them a word of confidence or something like that, because it’s a roller coaster in WWE and wrestling in general. Coaster. Sometimes they need that boost and whatnot. And hopefully, I’m there to help them with that, because I know how hard it is to be a professional wrestler.”

When Styles comes down, he will try to win the WWE Championship for the third time. cody rhodes Saturday at Backlash. Backlash will be held at Dessins-Charpieu, Lyon Metropolis, France. This is the first WWE premium live event to be held in France.
