Woman raped by electrical department staff at New Delhi railway station, four arrested – Rail Hunt – Bharat Times English News

Police have arrested four employees in the gangrape of a 30-year-old woman at New Delhi railway station. All the accused are employees of Railway Electrical Department. Two of them raped the woman in the train lighting room on the platform on Thursday night while two were guarding outside. The accused have been identified as Satish Kumar (35), Vinod Kumar (38), Mangal Chand (33) and Jagdish Chand (37). The arrested Satish Kumar is a resident of Jandkheda Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh, Vinod Kumar Punjabibag Delhi, Mangal Chand Meena Jaipur Rajasthan and Jagdish Khichdipur Delhi.

Railway DCP Harendra Singh told that the woman called him at 3.27 am and informed about the incident. After this the police went and rescued him. The woman told the police that she hails from Faridabad, Haryana. She has been living separately from her husband for two years. She was looking for a job. His identity was found from Satish, who had given him the promise of getting him a job in the Railways.

On Thursday 21 July, Satish invited her to his son’s birthday party. She met Satish at Kirti Nagar metro station at 10.30 pm. After this he was taken to the New Delhi railway station where the other three accused had also come. He was taken to the train lighting office. Here two people raped her. The other two railwaymen were guarding outside. The police have arrested all the four railway workers.
