Condemning the violence that took place in some parts of the country on 10th June over controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad. BJP Member, who was later suspended by the party, Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar On Monday, he wondered why an issue was being raised over the matter, given that the saffron camp has already taken action against both the leaders.
Expressing displeasure over the attack on his cabinet colleague Nitin Nabin by miscreants in neighboring Jharkhand amid protests, Kumar on Monday said the “responsibility for maintaining peace and communal harmony rests with the state government”.
He was responding to questions on BJP’s allegations that the attack was a “planned one”.
“Soon after the attack on my young cabinet colleague, I directed the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) to investigate the entire incident. They are still in touch with the senior officials of the Jharkhand government and taking updates related to the matter.
