Soon you will see past participants a . can be able to see WhatsApp group. Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new “see past participants” feature that will show users past group participants.
WABetaInfo reports that the “see past participants” feature is being rolled out for users with WhatsApp beta iOS 22.16.0.75 via TestFlight. This feature allows to view previous participants who have left the group before. Users can view participants who were removed or left the group in the last 60 days.
No ‘admin-only’ feature
This feature is not limited to group administrators; Each group participant can view the list of former participants using “View past participants” attribute. However, notification of a person leaving or removing a group is no longer visible to everyone in the chat except group administrators.
The same feature was also found in WhatsApp for Android earlier this year. However, the feature was dubbed as “view past participants” instead of “view past participants”. The feature was spotted in WhatsApp beta Android Version 2.22.12.4.
There is no word on when and when this feature will be rolled out for the stable version of WhatsApp. But we can expect to see this feature soon as WhatsApp is on a spree to add new features recently.
