A 21-year-old man from Welland, Ont., is facing multiple charges in connection with a fatal collision in Cambridge in May that killed two people, according to Waterloo Regional Police.

Police said the two vehicles collided on Hespeller Road near Sheldon Drive just before midnight on May 12.

He said a Hyundai was going north on Hespeler Road when the vehicle crossed the center line and ran into a Toyota which was coming from the opposite direction. The collision caused the Toyota to roll over.

Police will announce that one Florida man and another Pickering man were killed as a result of the collision.

The 21-year-old Wayland man is facing multiple charges, including death by dangerous driving, death due to impaired operation and impaired operation – with a blood alcohol content above 80 milligrams.
