Vijay Deverakonda’s complaint against MLC Kavita for illegal investment in Liger – India Times Hindi News

Puri Jagannadh’s film Leger was released on high expectations but was a huge failure. The film has performed poorly at the box office and is struggling to recover its costs, even with negative reviews. However, even though the news of the film’s debacle is fresh in our minds, Ligar has landed in a controversy.

Congress leader Bakka Judson has complained to the ED and CBI to take action against MLC Kalvakuntala Kavitha for allegedly making illegal investments in films. He said that he tried to convert his illegal black money into white by investing in Vijay Deverakonda’s film Liger. The Congress leader alleges that Kavita invited Vijay Deverakonda, the film’s producer Charmi Kaur and others to her house to discuss making a pan-India film.

According to Bakka Judson, a plan to convert their black money to white through a pan-India film was hatched in 2017 when some respected personalities in the industry were questioned in a drug-related case. Authorities in Hyderabad questioned 16 celebrities from the Telugu film industry, including Charmi, Puri Jagannath, Navdeep, Ravi Teja and Mumait Khan.

Since that time, according to Bakka Judson, the friendship between Kavita, Charmi, Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannath has grown. A petition outlining Kavita’s efforts to convert illegally obtained black money into white has been given to the investigating authorities. A thorough investigation has been called for.

Meanwhile, after its disastrous performance at the box office, Liger is all set to hit the OTT screens, streaming on Disney+. Hotstar from 30 September.
