‘Very good job’: Praises Mumbai Police for saving drowning woman

Mumbai Police is winning hearts on the internet after one of its teams rescued a 26-year-old woman, who fell into the sea while enjoying a boat ride near the Gateway of India over the weekend.

The video of the police force rescuing the woman is going viral on social media. In the video now going viral, a boat can be seen speeding towards the spot where the woman had fallen. A police officer is seen throwing a rope into the water at a woman wearing a life jacket.

Two men swimming with him grabbed the rope and gave it to the woman. Holding the rope, she reaches the rescue boat and can be seen trying to break into it.

The incident took place on January 9 and as per the ANI report, the woman fell into the water after being hit by the strong current of the sea. “A team of Coastal Police and Colaba Police rescued a woman tourist who was drowning in the sea near the Gateway of India in Mumbai today. The woman lost control and fell into the water after the strong sea current hit her boat,” tweeted ANI, citing Mumbai Police.

The video shared by ANI has garnered over 68,000 views so far. Netizens lauded Mumbai Police for saving the woman’s life. “Very good job Mumbai Police. This will strengthen people’s faith in Mumbai Police,” commented a user.
