A judge has reserved his decision on whether to grant bail to the fourth person charged murder plot Earlier this year the border was blocked in southern Alberta.

Morin, Anthony Olinic, Chris Carbert and Christopher Lisack are charged with conspiring to kill police officers at a blockade near Coutts, Alta., to protest the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and other pandemic restrictions.

Crown has already indicated that it plans to try four people together and the trial date is expected to be set for July 11.

Four of the 14 people charged in February were arrested after the RCMP found a cache of long guns, handguns, body armor, large amounts of ammunition and high-capacity magazines in three trailers at a protest near Couts.

Police allege that a protesting group was prepared to use force if the blockade was disrupted and described the threat as “very serious”.
